    More than a boat

Built by hand on this coast. Sailed by its people. Owned by Kenyan women.

    Private only

The whole dhow is yours. No strangers, no mixed groups, no rush to get back.

    Swahili on deck

Samosas, viazi karai, biryani or seafood on the long sails, fresh coconuts, music.

    Everyone aboard

Friends, families, first dates, artists, grandparents, dogs. The coast has always been everyone's.

Snacks are on us. Bring your own too, we won't mind.

    Your sail, your occasion

    There's a cushion for everyone

Real guests, real sails. Seven thousand people follow the boat for a reason.

Will we share the boat with strangers?

No. Every sail is private to your group. The only exception is a Residency sail, a ticketed evening with an artist on board, and those are announced on Instagram.

    How many people fit?

The dhow price covers up to 7 guests (up to 5 in the festive season). Bigger groups are welcome: each extra guest pays the per-head price in the table.

    What's included?

Swahili breakfast on the sunrise sail. Snacks like beef and veg samosas and viazi karai, drinking water and ice on the 3-hour sails. Biryani or seafood, your choice, on the Bofa full day.

Can we bring our own food and drinks?

Yes. Bring whatever you like on top of what we serve.

How do I confirm a booking?

Choose a sail and date below and send it to us. A 30% deposit by M-Pesa confirms the date. The balance is paid on the day.

    Where do we board?

At the Old Ferry jetty in Kilifi. We send directions with your confirmation.

    Can we celebrate on board?

Birthdays, proposals, weddings, private parties, film nights. Tell us the occasion when you book and we'll plan it with you.

    Can the dog come?

Yes. Well-behaved dogs are welcome aboard.

    When should we book?

From August the creek gets busy, and the festive season fills early. Book a few weeks ahead for weekends.
